NON-HOSPITAL EMERGENCY HEALTHCARE: There's a St. Luke's mini medical center~ Turn right onto 903. Take it down the mountain until you are almost into Jim Thorpe town. Pass the Jim Thorpe monument. Then, on the right is a car wash and gas station, on the LEFT is Annie's Ice Cream and then St. Luke's Emergency Care.
ICE CREAM: Closest is Scoops...turn left on 903 and it is about a mile on the right side across from the JTNB bank. You can get there via golf cart, but we park at the bank and cross by foot, since it is not road worthy.
Bella Mia has ice cream year around (see "best pizza" below). Annie's Ice Cream: Turn right onto 903 and follow 903 until you go past the Jim Thorpe monument. Annie's is on your left (see above for specifics).
BEST PIZZA:
Julio's ~ on the way to the house, you pass it on 903 on the left side next to the beer store right before your turn for Bear Creek
Bella Mia*
Turn left onto 903 for quite a few miles. Bella Mia is on the left across from the Dollar General. Traffic light you went too far.
RESTAURANTS: (* = our favorites)
903 Tratoria*: Turn right onto 903. Tratoria is on the left about 2 miles up the road.
Boulder View*, Shenanigans, Nick's, Louie's Steaks: Turn left onto 903. Go through intersection 534. Follow signs to (Big Boulder Ski Resort) LAKE HARMONY. Turn left right after lake (through the trees). Restaurants are all up that road.
Dom n' Ali Steakhouse: Turn left onto 903. Just a mile or so up on the left.
Reilly's Pub*: Turn left onto 903. A few miles up on the right. Small shopping center across from Whitewater Rafting.
Penn's Peak: You passed it on the way in on Maury Road. The view is spectacular. There's also concerts there. Pub fare.
P.J. Welihan's*: You passed it on the way in on Harrity. Going back down the mountain the way you came in, it's on the left right before Harrity ends onto 209. They have great food and an awesome patio.
THE TOWN OF JIM THORPE:
Turn right onto 903. Take 903 until it looks like it is going to end, bearing left at the arrow. Follow road around to the left and then right then over the bridge at the railway. Make a left at the wall of rock traffic light. This is Jim Thorpe.
The Scenic Train Ride, the Asa Packer Mansion, the Jail, and all the little shops along the way are why JT is well known. Parking is hard but worth it.

WHITEWATER RAFTING/PAINT BALL: Turn left onto 903. Pocono Whitewater Rafting is on your left a few miles up.
COUNTRY JUNCTION: It's a great rainy day activity. There's a petting zoo for kids. There's a general store on steroids, odd item shopping experience with puppies at the end. Follow directions to go home, down 903 to Maury, to Indian Hill, etc. When you get to 209, instead of going right to the turnpike, go left on 209. It's quite a few miles down that road on the left.
LAKES:
Beltzville Lake ~ You pass it on the way in...Turn right at PJ Welihan's, it winds around there. They have boat rentals.
Mauch Chunk Lake ~ Wind through Jim Thorpe, and it is several miles past the town on the left. They also have boat rentals.
