MI CASA ES SU CASA- USE WHATEVER IS HERE~IT'S YOURS FOR THE TAKING, FOOD AND ALL
WATER - The water is well water. It is mineraly and may be brown at first. Just let it run. There's a Brita pitcher.
RECYCLE - There's a trash can on the driveway for recycles. That's the only trash receptacles allowed because of the bears.
TRASH - There is a second trash can for regular trash use while you are at the house. You have to take the trash with you when you leave or take it to the dump. We have no trash pickup. If you need to take the trash to the dump, call one of us for directions and a pass.
HEAT
1. Each baseboard has it's own control. Make sure you have it turned on!
2. The wood stove is all yours if you need it. There's plenty of wood and fire starters. There's no flu. Keep the doors closed while using because of sparks.
THERE ARE A BUNCH OF BLANKET THROWS IN THE LITTLE SQUARE HASSOCK/TABLE IN THE CENTER OF THE ROOM.
AIR CONDITIONING
hahahahaha There isn't any! The control for the giant fan in the living room is attached to the wall on the hallway post. It moves a ton of air! But there are also window fans and box fans around....feel free to move them where they are useful.
LIQUOR - It's up in the loft in storage. There's a liquor store if you turn right on 903 and head into town. There's a beer store if you turn right on 903 and look for the first shopping center on the right.
WASHER AND DRYER INSTRUCTIONS
1 There’s a clothes line in the loft.
2 Behind the washer are two faucets. Turn on the LEFT, which is marked COLD (only use cold).
3 Wash clothes as usual. Side note, check....the laundry detergent is concentrated. 1/4 cup is plenty.
It is important when you are done washing to TURN OFF THE FAUCET IMMEDIATELY after washing clothes. The washer valve is broken and fills up and overflows to the downstairs so the only control is to turn off the faucet.
SHED KEY
The key for the shed is hanging on the hook in the kitchen by the fireplace. This key also is the same for the crawl spaces.
POOL TAGS AND PARKING PASS
Our development has strict security (that’s why we like it!). If you go to the pool, lake or anywhere, make sure you have a pool tag on! Also, put the parking pass on the dash board of your car, so they know you are one of us.
Pool tags and parking passes are on the fireplace in the ‘outhouse’. The golf cart has its own parking pass on the bumper, so it isn’t necessary to use one for the golf cart.
CAMPFIRES
If you would like to have a campfire, help yourself to the wood stacked outside. Our address is CLICK HERE. Don’t forget there is a hose at the side of the house that reaches the fire pit. If it is a dry season, then be aware if there is a fire ban. There's a sign on 903 by the fire station.
LINENS
There are linens for every bed either stacked on the beds or in the bear room armoire. There are also electric blankets there, if they aren’t on the beds already. The loft linens are in the chest upstairs or on the credenza. Use whatever looks good to you!
PLEASE STRIP THE BEDS WHEN YOU LEAVE.
Towels are in the bathroom closet, and dish towels are in the drawer under the sink. If you have time to wash them, just hang them in the loft and over the railings when they are just out of the washer. No need to hang around waiting for them the dry. We air dry all the time.
If you don’t have time, just pile on top of the washer and I’ll do them when I get there. Just let me know they’re there. Remember to turn off the washer water supply at the wall or the washer will leak! $$yikes$$

Chairs for the campfire or beach or whatever
Skewers for marshmallows
Tablecloths for the picnic table
Vacuum cleaner
Tool box
Broom and mop
Extra hats and mittens
BEAR ROOM CLOSET:
Fishing equipment, but please do not use it. This is probably the only thing we don’t want touched. That and my guitar. The rest of the house is yours. Plus you would need licenses....so it's kinda useless.
The canoe is under the deck.
The bear room closet has life vests for the boat (YOU MUST USE THEM!!)
Cooler bags for picnics
Water games
A giant float for the lake...however, you need to take life vests and oars. The underwater currents are strong!!! You'll be in the middle of the lake in just a few minutes if you aren't careful!
DEER ROOM CLOSET:
GAMES!
Extra blankets
There's BINGO at the Penn Forest fire house on Saturday nights. There's some daubers in the closet for you to use.

HOW TO USE THE TV:
The TV may be switched off on the power strip on the floor. There are 2 remotes ~ one is for the DVD player. We have limited channels because of the antenna, so you will probably want to watch DVDs. The DVD player is in the cabinet. There are 3 DVD cases.
In order to use the DVD player, press the SOURCE button, choose the HDMI option and OK. Use the smallest remote to navigate the DVD player.
Our TV is hooked up to the stereo (ooh! aaah!). If you want to use the surround sound, the TV sound system sucks, you need to:
1. Turn on the entire system by hitting the uppermost power button in the left corner. All systems will turn on.
2. Turn on the second machine down, the one with the huge round dial (volume).
3. Press the "EQ/VCR2" and turn the volume up if you can't hear it.
TO LISTEN TO STEREO CDs: On the tuner, press CD button. The carousel is on the bottom shelf. Music discs under the stereo cabinet. Turn the volume down before you flip it. The sound will blast!
